What inspired you to become a fitness professional:

I have coached and played sports my entire life including college. During my career, I experienced numerous injuries. I spent a lot of time in doctor’s offices and physical therapy clinics confused as to why these injuries kept happening. I also realized many players and teammates had or were suffered from the same afflictions. After having my knee surgery sophomore year, I decided to take a couple anatomy and physiology courses. I loved all the information they provided on theories of injuries and sports performance, which made me change my major the next year. And well, the rest in history!

What is your fitness routine?

6 day program: Even split conditioning and strength training.
Current strength program is a hybrid corrective with emphasis on early endurance. Conditioning with speed foundational work, circuits of corrective run form, ladders and basic metabolic cone circuits.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

Helping people discover the athletes inside of them. I enjoy breaking down the limitations they set for themselves by giving them an active lifestyle they didn’t think possible before.

What is one exercise no client of yours can avoid:

Single arm overhead Bulgarian

What activities do you like to do outside of the gym?

To this day I still play competitive soccer and basketball.

What’s a fun or interesting fact about you that most people don’t know about you?

I play the piano
